Moms’ Group: This monthly gathering offers current and alumni Boyer moms the opportunity for connection, community and support in the journey of parenting a child with diverse abilities. FOCS Support Group for Parents of Children with Disabilities: Brought in partnership with Families of Color Seattle (FOCS), this group offers families of color a safe space to cultivate relationships, and dissect and discover the intersectionalities between being a Person of Color and a parent of a child with exceptionalities/special needs. Fathers’ Nights: Monthly meetings facilitated by Bill Scott, Boyer’s Social Worker, for current/alumni Boyer dads, foster fathers, grandfathers, uncles, or male caregivers. Couples Workshops: A series for couples to help reinvigorate the essential friendship qualities of their relationship. The workshop offers a safe, fun and supportive space for respite, rediscovery, meaningful conversations, and practical learning.
