Dr. McLaurin Appointment

We are thrilled to share that Boyer’s Medical Director, Jennie McLaurin, MD, was recently honored with a national appointment: Senior Fellow, Public Health Integration and Innovation with the National Association of Community Health Centers.

In this role, she works on national strategies around equity in care to populations affected by COVID, as well as encouraging immunizations to all, especially underserved and marginalized children. She works with policy deliberations at the Congressional and White House levels. She is also helping shape a project called Healing Households, which looks at childhood obesity, family stress, and social determinants of health as well as holistic responses to those interrelated issues.

Despite these new responsibilities, she will continue to serve as Boyer’s Medical Director and remain an important resource for our families, staff and community. Congratulations, Dr. McLaurin, on this truly incredible achievement!
