Leadership Transition Update

We have some important news to share with our Boyer community.

After 28 years with Boyer Children’s Clinic, including 16 years as Executive Director, Michael Stewart will step away from Boyer in this role. He accepted the position of Chief Executive Officer at Kindering, where he will continue his commitment to advancing inclusive, family-centered care for young children and families. His last day with Boyer will be Wednesday, September 3, 2025. We are deeply grateful for Mike’s tremendous impact and extraordinary leadership at Boyer, and thrilled that he will continue his vital work advocating for families throughout King County. We celebrate his next chapter knowing he will always remain an important part of the Boyer community.

For our families: Your experience at Boyer will remain exactly the same. The dedicated staff who care for your child, the programs that support your family, and the individualized attention that defines Boyer’s approach will continue unchanged.

For our supporters: Your partnership and investment remain critical to Boyer’s mission. We deeply appreciate your unwavering dedication to our community and look forward to continuing our important work together.

Boyer has been a vital part of our community since 1942, serving thousands of children and families with the same caring, expert approach. This strong foundation ensures that Boyer will continue to be the trusted resource our families rely on.

Our Board of Directors has activated Boyer’s succession plan, and we’re committed to a smooth transition. We’ll share updates as we move forward.

For more than 80 years, Boyer has remained steadfast in its mission to help every child reach their fullest potential. And this will not change. Our families will remain at the heart of everything Boyer does.
