Remembering Dottie Pence

e are celebrating the life and legacy of beloved former Teachers Aide, Dottie Pence. She worked at Boyer from 1980 – 1999, and was a deeply valued partner to both families and staff alike.

Former colleague, Patti Price, shares: “When I relocated to Seattle and began work at Boyer Children’s Clinic, I experienced Dottie’s hand of friendship from day one. Over the years I saw her smile and kind heart open the doors to many friendships, and she had the remarkable ability to connect with people and especially comfort babies and children. As her friend, I want to respect her memory by showing the caring compassion to others that she bestowed on so many. May I recognize the moments to show an act of kindness or advocate for a cause as a way to keep her spirit alive and honor her memory.”

During her 19 years at Boyer, Dottie touched the lives of hundred of families. Thank you, Dottie, for all you’ve done to make our world a better, brighter and more compassionate place for all.
