2019 Inspiring Journeys Auction

Thank you!

Thank you to our incredible guests, supporters, co-chairs, volunteers, staff, sponsors, auctioneers…everyone who made the night such a tremendous success!   We couldn’t have done it without you.

Together we raised a record-breaking $630,000!

If you were unable to join us, please find our auction video here, and see the impact Boyer has on the lives of the families we serve!

The nearly 500 guests at the Inspiring Journeys Gala include community leaders, patrons of Boyer Children’s Clinic, Boyer families, and corporate executives from local and national companies.

We are proud to have Ryan & Sara Maxwell and Sumeer & Suzanne Singla as our 2019 Auction Co-Chairs. The Maxwells are a Boyer alumni family, and Ryan is a longtime Board Member while Sara has served on the Auction Committee for the past four years. Suzanne is a former Board member and Sumeer is a current Advisory Board member who played an instrumental role in helping us secure the Magnuson Park site. We appreciate both families’ longtime leadership and support of our organization.

The North Star Award recognizes an individual, family, community partner or corporation for their outstanding leadership, community advocacy and sustaining support of Boyer Children’s Clinic. The honoree is selected for their commitment to our organization, which not only serves as inspiration to today’s Boyer community, but also creates a legacy of nurturing the lives of children with special needs and their families in the decades ahead.

We are honored to present our Montlake neighbor and longtime partner, St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, with this very special award. Its leadership and parishioners have been tremendous champions and advocates of our mission for decades, and they generously name Boyer as a beneficiary of their annual auction and golf tournaments. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to publicly celebrate St. Demetrios for their longtime commitment and unwavering support to Boyer and the children and families we proudly serve.

Boyer’s Therapy Program: Developing the skills children need to thrive

For many children, what seems like a fundamental life skill might take months or even years to achieve. Whether it is eating, crawling, speaking or playing with toys, our expert therapists work to help even the most medically-fragile children meaningfully interact with the world around them.

Since our founding in 1942, Boyer has become the largest provider of early intervention services in Seattle for children age birth to three with disabilities and developmental delays, serving more than 1,200 children annually. Boyer’s vision is that all children – inclusive of their unique strengths and abilities – can live the happiest and healthiest lives possible.

Boyer’s premier Therapy Program – including Physical, Occupational and Speech-Language – is designed to help each child reach their fullest potential through evidence-based therapies and parent coaching/ support. Philanthropic investments provide cutting-edge technology, innovative programming, and most importantly, hope for our families during what is likely the most challenging time in their lives.
