Community Partner and Neighbor Spotlight: St Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church

Boyer Children’s Clinic is honored to have earned the support of many individuals, foundations and corporations over the years. As a nonprofit, our community partners are essential to our ability to deliver the highest quality care to the children and families we serve. We are especially honored to have the support of our incredible neighbors at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church. This special partnership has extended for decades, and year after year, their community generously designate a portion of their event proceeds to benefit the life changing therapies, programs and services that Boyer offers.

“Boyer’s devotion to create a family centered facility that helps children with disabilities reach their fullest potential by providing the highest-quality, multifaceted early intervention services captures the essence of what is important to us as neighbors, as friends and as advocates for children and their families,” Georgine Looney, St. Demetrios Parish Council President explains. “We are blessed and grateful to have this long-standing and unique relationship and feel privileged to collaborate and support BCC’s goals through the work that the wonderful people at BCC do. Our Parish is fortunate to have such wonderful neighbors and friends at Boyer!”

St. Demetrios hosts a variety of initiatives throughout the year aimed at supporting local nonprofits like Boyer, including a golf tournament and their annual gala. They have also been generous supporters of Boyer’s marquee event, the Inspiring Journeys Gala, and their donation of a traditional Greek dinner has remained one of our most popular auction items to date. To date, the St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church community has donated over $90,000 to Boyer. Their leadership and congregation are incredible advocates on behalf of our organization, and these critical funds directly impact the children and families that Boyer proudly serves.

“We are so grateful for the extraordinary partnership we have with the St. Demetrios community,” shares Mike Stewart, Executive Director of Boyer Children’s Clinic. “Their longtime support and generosity has truly helped advance our mission of providing the best solutions for every child and family we serve, giving them the best chance for the brightest future possible.”
