Past Events
Inspiring Journeys Auction Gala
Thank you to the more than 250 guests, sponsors, contributors and donors who made the Inspiring Journeys Auction Gala, held on October 17, 2009, a tremendous success! We were able to raise more than $117,000 in net proceeds - money that will go directly to help children with special needs reach their maximum developmental potential. Be sure to join us on Saturday, October 9, 2010, for the next Inspiring Journeys Auction Gala.
St. Demetrios Greek Auction
Many thanks to our friends and neighbors at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church for their longstanding partnership and support. In 2009, Boyer was the beneficiary of their Twilight in Seattle Auction to help children with special needs in Seattle. We are grateful and honored to have partners such as St. Demetrios, whose spirit of giving and fellowship enrich our community. We look forward to joining them on June 5, 2010 for the next auction event.
Day of Caring 2009
Each September, Boyer Children's Clinic participates in United Way of King County’s Day of Caring, hosting volunteers from the community who donate a day’s work to local nonprofits. This event is the largest single-day volunteer project in Washington, gathering more than 9,000 volunteers this year and resulting in over $1,000,000 of donated labor.

On Friday, September 11, 2009, Boyer was fortunate enough to welcome two groups to the clinic – Wright Runstad & Company and Perkins Coie. These dedicated volunteers energetically helped landscape our grounds, thoroughly cleaned our classrooms and indoor gym, assisted with our auction mailing, and so much more! Their work saved our agency a lot of time and we are incredibly grateful for their ongoing commitment to the children and families we serve.
Lemonade Stand
Since 2000, neighborhood siblings Jesse and Allie Warren and their friends have hosted the annual Lemonade Stand. Throughout the years, the Montlake neighborhood has watched this annual event grow more and more sophisticated and successful in raising funds to support Boyer Children’s Clinic. On July 22, 2009, the young organizers hosted their 10th annual Lemonade Stand. All their hard work paid off with another record-breaking final tally: at the end of the day, the efforts and enthusiasm of this young group of philanthropists raised a grand total of $3,019. Their donation will help Boyer provide services to young children with developmental delays and their families, turning a summertime money-maker into lifelong opportunities. Everyone here appreciates the tremendous dedication and hard work of the Lemonade Stand Crew. Thanks for another wonderful year!
Sun and Surf Run
From July 23 to July 26, 2009, thousands of Harley and motorcycle enthusiasts headed to Ocean Shores, Washington for the annual Sun and Surf event. The event was co-organized by Downtown Harley Davidson of Renton and Renton Motorcycle Company, and part of the proceeds benefitted Boyer Children's Clinic. Thank you to all the riders and supporters that attended!
Tomorrow’s Child Lunch
Thank you to all the sponsors and supporters who joined us for the second annual Tomorrow’s Child Lunch, held at the Sheraton Seattle Hotel on May 12, 2009. This event raised over $48,723 in net revenue to support the programs at Boyer Children’s Clinic. Emcee Dennis Bounds of KING TV; keynote speaker Paul Shoemaker, Executive Director of Social Venture Partners; and panelist Washington State Rep. Ruth Kagi helped make this a successful and memorable event.
