2018 Inspiring Journeys Auction

We hope you will join us on Saturday, November 10th for Boyer Children’s Clinic’s Inspiring Journeys Gala, our annual semi-formal fundraising event. This special evening features an elegant party, including a cocktail reception, entertainment, and limited silent and live auctions.

The 450+ guests at the Inspiring Journeys Gala include community leaders, patrons of Boyer Children’s Clinic, Boyer families, and corporate executives from local and national companies.

We are proud to have Joyce & Rick Israel and Laurie Demeritt & Paul Cutting as our 2018 Auction Co-Chairs. The Israels are a Boyer Alumni family, and both Joyce and Laurie Demeritt have served on Boyer’s Board of Directors. We appreciate both families’ longtime leadership and support of our organization.

NORTH STAR AWARDEE
We are thrilled to announce Detlef & Mari Schrempf as our 2018 North Star recipients.

The North Star Award recognizes a special individual, family or corporation for their outstanding leadership, community advocacy and sustaining support of Boyer Children’s Clinic. The honoree is selected for their commitment to our organization, which not only serves as inspiration to today’s Boyer community, but also creates a legacy of nurturing the lives of children with special needs and their families in the decades ahead.

Most people know Detlef as a Seattle Supersonics legend, and he and Mari have also become committed philanthropists within the community through their family Foundation. They have generously supported Boyer for years, and we are delighted to have the opportunity to recognize them for their partnership.

EVENT PROCEEDS
Boyer Children’s Clinic is known as the regional leader for cutting-edge early intervention services, focused on ages birth to three. We are also proud to be a premier provider of early childhood education programming, with side-by-side learning of typically-developing children and children with various developmental delays or disabilities.

Our Education Program is focused on improving children’s cognitive, communication, motor and social skills. Through a blend of play and song, independent exploration and structured activities, our classrooms promote learning and growth while meeting each child at their individual ability.

Boyer’s unique programmatic offerings and low child-to-staff ratio is unparalleled by other agencies and/or schools. All classrooms are managed by multidisciplinary teams, which include a master’s degree certified head teacher, assistant teacher, speech and language pathologist, occupational or physical therapist, social worker, nurse and other appropriate staff. For each Boyer child, these teams focus on individual goals through collaboration with their parents and caregivers.

Boyer’s inclusive classrooms provide a safe, caring environment and a creative and fun atmosphere where children of all abilities can thrive together. Your investment will allow each child to experience success in a variety of ways, thus building their confidence in their own ability to grow and learn.
